Service Opportunities

Christian service is a central tenet of the Catholic faith and therefore at the core of a faith-based education. Jesus tells us time and time again how important it is to serve others as a part of leading a Christian life. A genuine commitment to others is ultimately a commitment to Christ. It will make a difference in the choices you make and even the vocation that you are called to. As such, all students are encouraged to take part in service activities. Opportunities will be available and advertised at school, but off-campus community-based activities are encouraged. During Lent, all students will participate in service projects with their class.

Middle school students are expected to complete a minimum number of service hours each year. Surpassing the minimum hours is encouraged. Students not completing their hours may have their diploma withheld. Middle school requirements are as follows:

6th grade … 15 hour

7th grade … 20 hours

8th grade … 25 hours

Altar serving is always an option for students grades 5-8.  Email Jessie Kunnel at [email protected] for more information about current altar serving training classes or to sign up to altar serve weekend masses.

NEW OPPORTUNITY:  Border Tails Rescue is in search of volunteers to assist with the animals at their shelter.  Parent must be  present to attend.  See link below for more details.

We should always be using our God-given talents!

Remember the 3 T’s:

Your TIME,

your TALENT,

and your TREASURE!

Ephesians 2:10 says, “We serve and volunteer confidently, knowing that God has prepared the way for us! God will reward us.”

This page will serve as a go-to for students as well as parents for service opportunities throughout the school year.
