Message from Mr. Blumenshine

Dear Parents,

 

For the last five years of my life, I have had the pleasure of working at a place like no other. St. Catherine Labouré’s sprawling suburban campus is tucked away in a quiet corner of Glenview. But the work, and accomplishments of our staff and students is anything but quiet. I invite you to join us in our mission of evangelization through education and the Crusader Way. When you select SCL, you are embraced in a family committed to the mission of Catholic faith.  

 

Our PK-3 to 8th grade students work independently and cooperatively to foster faith in Christ and develop the whole child. Catholic identity plays a foundational role at St. Catherine Labouré School. Over the last 60 years, our school has dedicated itself to creating a welcoming diverse population of educators, students, and families. Our staff works tirelessly at developing relationships with students, parents, and the community in order to provide opportunities to grow in academics, the arts, athletics, service, and leadership.  

 

SCL is truly a family. My mother works here as a sub, and my youngest son will be my third son to attend SCL Preschool. We pride ourselves on our relationship and our faith bond. The SCL families and students take pride in their community and role model the Crusader Way. Our families take pride in their role of the success of their students and the Crusader Way. Our parents recognize their role as the primary educator of their children, and bless us with the opportunity to support, supplement, and enrich their family and faith life. 

 

Take some time, and come in to meet our family. Take a tour. Enjoy a shadow day. And experience the Crusader Way.
